About

Hello, I’m glad your here, visiting my website. If you don’t mind I would really appreciate it if you would give me another minute or two of your undivided attention. I’m going to attempt to inspire you.

I want to talk to you about a few things.  HEY! Why not FOLLOW! I now have over 300 followers!

First of all I would like to let you know that theres a good reason I’m staying up as late as possible and making sure I finish the thought that suddenly erupting in my head today. If you have the slightly curiosity in this thought, why I just created this website, and why Im staying up late to write this all down, then please continue to be curious and read on.

Ok so the first thing I would like to say is that its a fact (not a proven fact) but (I’m pretty damn sure fact) that every single person in the world has a dream.

They have a dream. And that dream is very important to them. Now don’t get the definition of dream mixed with the simpleton definition of wish. A dream is a much more respectable, honorable, and powerful word that of wish.

Remember, “I have a wish” were not the sincere words spoken by Martin Luther King Jr.

I believe that I can change the way the world views people. Yeah, I know, sorry for the low aspirations.

Because I feel like the world perceives people as not having dreams, some people actually look at other people and think their simple, that they don’t have feelings and that they don’t have creative, interesting dreams that they should be apart of! We almost disregard the average person as having just an average dream, or none at all; well I want to change that.

In today’s society we have learned through the hardships of life that dreamers, those people who aspire to follow there passions, often times end up in the corner of the room that is not filled with success. We have learned from our parents, grandparents, and friends that we should lead a logical life where we have concrete guidelines and straightforward aspirations. In all lof this dogmatic idealism dreamers are thrown into a black, molding, heap of dust where they are left to die and have birds crap on their faces. Its actually awful if you think about it.

Fear, is what leads to this. Fear is what causes people to not follow their dreams, but even worse it is what causes people to dismiss, and criticize other people’s dreams. How many times do you think a child in some second grade class says he wants to become an astronaut, and then, a second later, someone tells him he will never accomplish this? This is what turns happy young children, into rude old men.

I believe we need to change this. I believe we need to change the way the world views your dreams!

Now that I have described to you my belief, I want to talk to you about how I’m going to do something about it through this blog.

This blog will not be about me, but about you. I want this website to be a vessel of dreams, of goals, of the most sincerely and personal beliefs that you think you can achieve. One of the many outcomes of society not supporting our dreamers is that people are beginning to internalize their dreams. People are afraid to tell others what their dreams are. That is how dreams die. If you never express you dream, it dies with you. I’m trying to help you express your dreams.

So to anyone who is brave enough, or not brave enough, or just think this idea is cool and wants to have their dreams posted on my blog (by the way they will all be posted as anonymous, unless you ask to post it with you name) please send me an email of your dream to jaypatrick33@gmail.com.  Just a few sentences will work, and It will posted on the dreams page of this blog.

I will post the first dream, just to get things started.

Also I would like to add that since there has been such a recent growth and interest in my blog, I have added a link for donations so I can use the money to turn this blog into a professional looking website, and attract even more people! Some readers suggested that I should add a donate button, so this is the best I can do. Here’s the link please donate if you really feel compelled, every penny will help! http://gogetfunding.com/project/jays-blog

If you believe in my idea, in dreams, and the purpose of this blog; please show support, like and/or comment. It will be greatly appreciated, and that way I will know that I’m making a difference. Also any tweetting on twitter or posts on facebook, etc.  will help get peoplehavedreams.com out there. You can also use the Press This button or if your couragous, REBLOG ME! Oh yeah…

Remember you can contact me at jaypatrick33@gmail.com, trust me being slightly vulnerable and sending your dream will be liberating at the least. And if it not, I can only promise: exciting, awesome, amazing, and spectacular.

Also I should say, that sending your dream to me to post doesn’t mean your going to throw away everything you worked hard to get, and go chase after your dream. It just adds to the point that individuals out there do have dreams. And hopefully if there are enough dreams posted someday, dreamers, will start to realize that they are not alone; and then maybe will have the guts to chase after what they love.

Hey, just another thought, if you feel compelled to comment please do! Comment and get involved as much as you like!

I believe that dreams are strengthened when we tell them to someone else. Let’s make this blog a canvass where we can paint the dreams of the world.

Pss:To all of you who would like to email me a dream to post:please read this…

So it less confusing for me, please send your dream to me by email…separate from a comment. Sometimes people comment and also tell me their dream and I have no idea if their just being friendly or if they want me to post their dream…I usually assume the latter. Also, If you want it to be posted with your name, please indicate that. If you don’t it will be posed anonymously. And remember to try to send me an email with your dream…it’s harder and more confusing to me when you post it as a comment mixed with other stuff.

Thanks for reading the directions, it will really help me out if you follow the guidelines. Peace out, and dream on!

Let’s change the world

  1. I believe your dream is on its way to being fulfilled. Perhaps it will help the people without dreams to begin to let that little flicker into a bright red, orange and yellow flame. Good for you.

  3. “Fresh”…”Relevant”…”Spot On”…Will follow…

Your quote “I believe that I can change the way the world views people” reflects my belief which is…

Every day every person can change the way the world views people.

Remember you are not insane to believe you can make such a grand imprint on the world …
    You are insanely great!

  4. I hope you inspire many people to fulfill their dreams. I think sharing their dreams with others through your blog will encourage people to manifest them – and you will have helped! Well done!

  5. Doesn’t almost everything begin with a dream or a vision of what might be? Does work then begin with the building of a foundation for the dream or vision to rest on? Is action the key? Thank you for your vision!

      • You’ve very welcome! We all should be supportive of others dreams (unless they dream of being the next Charlie Manson). I’ve been remiss in keeping up with all the blogs I’m following, but I will be around to harass, I mean, visit with you. :)

      • Thanks for the support amaben12! I’m super pumped that you have a link pointing to my blog! That’s awesome! Keep following your dreams and sending people here if they need encouragement! :)

      • Will do you keep up the good work, so far I am turning my blogs into a book and have received a contract to publish. Dreams do come through.

  6. Thanks for being one of the first to like my blog :)

Your blog is powerful; as you yourself wrote “A dream is a much more respectable, honorable, and powerful word that of wish.”

    Congrats, buddy!

  7. It is appropriate time to make a few plans for the longer term and it is time to
be happy. I have read this post and if I could I want to recommend you few attention-grabbing things or suggestions.
Maybe you could write subsequent articles referring to this article.
I desire to read even more things about it!

  8. It’s a shame you don’t have a donate button! I’d definitely donate to this superb blog! I suppose for now i’ll
settle for book-marking and adding your RSS feed to my Google account.
I look forward to fresh updates and will talk about this site with my Facebook group.
    Chat soon!

    • Would you seriously donate to me? I wouldn’t be giving it to a charity or anything like that, i guess it’d be just for me trying to change the world! Oh and this site is up and running again, i had to go to school and work really hard for my classes, but now i have more time for this!

  9. Hello! I could have sworn I’ve been to this web site before but after looking at a few of the posts I realized it’s new to
me. Anyways, I’m certainly delighted I discovered it and I’ll
be bookmarking it and checking back frequently!

  10. Thanks for following me, I really am blown away with your outstanding message to the world, John Lennon said “You may say. I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one” and “give peace a chance”, most of us have heard these words, but haven’t had the courage yet to enforce it.

Even in a world full of nightmares they can’t stop us dreaming.

  11. The Secret eat your heart out, what a strong and inspiring page. Best of luck with your classes, hopefully you can juggle both this blog and your classes because the world needs more blogs like yours, more inspiring people like you and more patches of paradise like this one you have created. Oh and hey, thanks for the add :-)

    • Thank you so much for this comment, it means a lot! I hope I can balance both and be as amazing as you think I can be! And no problem! Spread the word about my blog if you can it means a lot.

  12. Dream on…. and I mean it. I’m right there with you! A friend once said, dreamers are important, nothing would exist without them. I think there is truth to this. Aboriginals understood the power of dreaming life into existence. I trust we all have this gift, expressed in different ways.

  13. Welcome! Thank you for subscribing to follow my blog. I hope you are encouraged, inspired and enjoy the photos I take of life’s events as seen through the lens of my camera.
    BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
